Java Developer
Location: Mountain View, CA
Want to transform the world of search? We are seeking a
highly-motivated software developer to be part of our development team.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial software
engineer who feels passionately about writing high quality and scalable
software.
Required Technical Experience:
- 1-3 years of server-side Java programming
in commercial software.
- Solid experience in object oriented
design, including knowledge of design patterns.
- Strong problem solving, critical
thinking, and algorithm skills.
- Experience with full product lifecycle;
understanding and usage of coding conventions.
Qualifications:
- BS or higher in Computer Science
- Outstanding communication and teamwork
skills
- High degree of integrity, passion, drive,
flexibility and a self-starter
Desirable Skills:
- Agile Development methodologies.
- Development or deployment experience in
Unix/Linux environment.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP) and/or
Search experience (e.g. Lucene/ Nutch)
- Relational database experience (MySQL,
Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres SQL, DB2)
- UI experience (JSP, servlets)
