Awareness of netnography and its usefulness continues to grow—there’s now a very active LinkedIn Netnography group. I encourage you to check it out, join, and share your experiences and ideas.

Pablo Sánchez Kohn, the group manager, has invited me to moderate the group and I’ve accepted. The group already has more than 350 members from all over the world and is adding new ones at a rapid rate. As with other LinkedIn groups, you can search member profiles, look up jobs, start and join discussions and more.

A consumer and marketing researcher who is currently Business Development Manager for LatAm at Netquest in Argentina, Pablo says he’s “fascinated by the combination of Social Media and Online Communities with Consumer Research and Ethnography.” He has been a Social Media Consultant at Merlien Institute, co-founder and board director at NEXO Bolivia, and Country Manager for Costa Rica at Synovate. His specialties are online panels, online research, qualitative research, ethnographic research and more. Pablo says Spain and Latin America “are hungry for smarter, faster, cheaper consumer insights.

There are some companies already using ‘netnografia’ as part of their service portfolio.”

The group provides an easy way to learn more about what others are doing in the area of netnography, which you can do just by reading members’ posts introducing themselves to the group.

Thank you for starting the group, Pablo. Should be another great forum for discussion and help us all promote netnography.
