NetBase Announces Intergalactic Language Support
NetBase, the Social Intelligence company, today announced an expansion to its comprehensive foreign Natural Language Processing (NLP) support with the addition of seven intergalactic languages: Klingon, Goa’uld, Dothraki, Ewok, Vulcan, Elvish, and Shriiwook (Wookie).
Here is a sample in Klingon:
Thanks to our country’s ever-expanding space exploration programs, such as the Stargate Program, businesses are no longer international, but universal. As a result, NetBase, an expert in the rapidly changing social intelligence field, is the first to see the need to include languages spoken in social media conversations outside the human race.
Word of this new growth has created a positive buzz across the galaxies. Support for these intergalactic languages not only further business and education, but diversity and tolerance among all beings
“The post-Stargate era has been difficult for many of the extra-terrestrial species that appeared on the sci-fi franchise, chiefest among them the Goa’uld. While other races have found some small measure of success since the series’ end, the going has been tough for these once proud symbiotes,” said Joseph Mallozzi, executive producer of Stargate SG-1/Atlantis/Universe/VP Alien Neighbors Universal Society.
“Having worked on several parasitic alien outreach programs, I can confirm that the problem stems from a general unwillingness to accept and understand them, so this recent announcement is heartening news. Finally, like so many others, they can enjoy the universal right to have their voices and needs as online consumers heard. That and hilarious online cat photos,”Mallozzi continued.
The Wookie community has let out an excited throaty wail, with their unofficial leader, and social media expert, Jason Falls chiming in:
“Microcommunities are an ever-growing portion of many brands’ stakeholders. Being able to monitor those microcommunities and what they are saying online is increasingly important. As someone who is part Wookie, I’m delighted my brethren’s perspective can now be tracked and monitored. As we like to say back home, ‘Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrr.’”
“Our vision at NetBase is to help beings across the multiverse publish, monitor, analyze and engage in social conversations, said Lisa Joy Rosner, CMO at NetBase, whose father speaks Klingon. “This innovation is not just groundbreaking, it’s star quaking. “
NetBase plans to continue broadening support for intergalactic language as consistently and frequently as the company extends its human language capabilities (currently at 40).
